Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Excelsior Forge ("Excelsior Forge," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with excelsiorforge.com and the marketing, sales, and outreach we carry out through it (together, the "Services"), and the choices and rights you have. It is written for the United States and Canada, where we operate; we do not direct our Services to people in other regions. Please read it alongside ourTerms of Service.
A note on client work
When a company hires us for a paid engagement, we work inside their own accounts and tools and handle their data only on their instructions and under our engagement agreement. In that work we act as a service provider (a processor), the client stays in control, and the data stays theirs. That client data is governed by the engagement agreement, not this policy. Everything below is about our own Services.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you book a call, fill out a form, email or message us, subscribe to updates, apply for a role, or meet us at an event, we collect what you provide, such as your name, work email, phone number, company, job title, and the contents of your message.
Information we collect automatically. When you visit or interact with our Services, we and our analytics and advertising partners automatically collect information using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, unique and online identifiers, the pages and links you view and click, referring and exit pages, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the dates, times, and duration of your activity.
Information from other sources. We also obtain information about you and the company you work for from third parties, including data enrichment and business-intelligence providers, advertising and analytics partners, social and professional networks, and publicly available sources, and we may combine it with the information above. For example, we may identify a business or professional who has shown interest in our Services, append current business contact details such as a work email, phone number, or role, and build a profile to decide whether and how to reach out. By using our Services, you understand that we may identify you in this way and contact you about our Services.
We do not collect sensitive personal information, such as Social Security or government ID numbers, financial account or payment card numbers, health information, precise geolocation, or login credentials.
How we use your information
We use the personal information we collect and obtain to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve our Services, respond to you, and schedule and run intro calls.
- Carry out marketing, sales, and prospecting: identify businesses and professionals who may be a fit for our Services, and contact them about our Services by email, telephone, and text message.
- Create, deliver, personalize, and measure marketing, including on third-party platforms such as LinkedIn (for example, building and refining audiences, retargeting, and measuring campaigns).
- Understand and improve how our Services are used, through analytics.
- Keep our Services secure, detect and prevent fraud and abuse, debug problems, and protect the rights, safety, and property of us and others.
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
- Create de-identified or aggregated information, which is no longer personal information.
- Carry out other purposes you request or consent to, or that the law permits.
Cookies and tracking technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies for these purposes:
- Strictly necessary, to run the site and keep it secure.
- Analytics and performance, to understand and improve how the site is used, for example with HubSpot, Google Analytics, and behavior or session analytics tools.
- Functionality, to remember your preferences.
- Advertising and measurement, to measure and deliver marketing and, where used, to build audiences and show relevant ads, for example with the LinkedIn Insight Tag and similar partners.
See "Your choices" below to manage these technologies.
How we share your information
We share personal information with these categories of recipients:
- Service providers that run our Services and business, including hosting and infrastructure, our CRM and marketing platforms, scheduling, data enrichment and business-intelligence providers, email, telephone, and text-messaging providers, and analytics providers.
- Advertising and social media partners, such as LinkedIn, that help us measure and deliver marketing and build audiences.
- Business partners with whom we jointly offer or promote services.
- Professional advisors, such as lawyers, accountants, and auditors.
- Authorities and others when we believe in good faith it is required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of us or others, or to enforce our Terms.
- A buyer or successor in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information for money. To the extent our use of advertising and analytics partners is considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or "cross-context behavioral advertising," under California or other state laws, you can opt out as described in "Your choices" and "Your privacy rights" below.
Your choices
You can control how we contact you and how your information is tracked:

- Text messages: reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help.
- Phone: tell us on a call, or email us, to be added to our internal do-not-call list.

If you give us your mobile number or otherwise agree to receive texts, we may send you messages about our Services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, and HELP for help. We do not share mobile opt-in or consent information with third parties for their own marketing.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know about and access the personal information we hold about you and how we use and share it;
- receive a copy of it, or have it sent to another company (portability);
- correct it;
- delete it;
- opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information and of targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising;
- limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any);
- not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.
California residents have these rights under the CCPA and CPRA, and residents of other U.S. states with privacy laws have similar rights. The categories of personal information we collect, the sources, our purposes for using it, and the categories of third parties we share it with are described in the sections above. Canadian residents can access and correct their personal information and withdraw consent under PIPEDA.
To exercise any right, email doug@excelsiorforge.com. We may need to verify your identity first, and an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
How we protect your information
We limit access to personal information to the people who need it, work only with reputable providers, and rely on the security controls those platforms provide, such as access controls and encryption in transit. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. If a security incident ever affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, to run our business, to resolve disputes, and to meet our legal obligations, and then we delete or de-identify it.
Where it is processed
We and our providers are based in the United States, so your information is processed and stored in the U.S. Our Services are intended for businesses in the United States and Canada, and we do not target or knowingly collect personal information from people outside those regions.
Children's privacy
This site and our Services are built for businesses and the people who run them, not for children. We do not direct the site at children, we do not market to them, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, or under the older age your local law sets where it is higher. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has given us their information, email us at doug@excelsiorforge.com and we will delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Other sites we link to
Our site links to outside services, such as Cal.com for booking a call and our pages on LinkedIn. We do not control those sites, and their own privacy policies govern what they collect. We are not responsible for their practices, so please review their policies before sharing information with them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices change. The date at the top reflects the most recent version, and your continued use of our Services after an update means you accept it.
